Ruben Imaizumi is a producer, philosopher, percussionist, drummer, author, and místico.

since he was 3 he was playing percussão in Capoeira and Samba, and later on drums to 70s Soul, Reggae, Jazz, Salsa, Funk, Blues, Bossa, y más. this led ruben to be inspired to start Zumi Records when he was 15, as a label to incorparate todos tipos of orin láti around the world wit a universal sound.

he’s been playing music with his hermano zumi since they were youngins, as he produces, mixes, and manages their music, & drummer en la banda.

ruben has been making beats for a while as well, wid nof kyain a myuuzik anywhere from a reggae, samba, and afrobeat to boom bap, trap, and r&b. occasionally he lays vocals over the beats en yorùbá, español, português, y english, however most songs he mainly does production, mixing, and playing in the works in zumi

 

ruben came up in Bahia, Brasil, from an Ainu-Japanese-Brasillian background.
