zumi

zumi is a songwriter and mulit-instrumentalist based in Philly and Puerto Rico. Living in Bahia, Brazil in his early life, and later on all around the Philadelphia region, zumi's music has its influences from an eclectic collection of sounds. These range from Samba and Bossa, to Hip Hop, Jazz, Soul, Reggae and more. He plays all instruments fluently, as the majority of recorded tracks within Zumi Records feature him on piano, guitar, bass, sax, trumpet, and more. His creations emerge from collaborations around the world--a musical connection with his brother in Philly and his newly established band in Puerto Rico. zumi is more than an artist; he's a storyteller, pushing boundaries by seamlessly blending old and new styles in a captivating musical journey.
